This girl Ashley, she’s popular and is one of those girls, i talk to her sometimes and my mom knows her mom well. I know her family is in the lower income portion, yet she wears all those expensive fancy clothing and she tries to look “hot” and blond.
Why put on a show looking like a rich celebrity and acting like you’re all that in highschool in your little group clicks, when your family is living in low income and your parents BARELY make ends meet?
What’s wrong with teens today? i think teens watch too much 90210 and gossip girls and are way too much celebrity oriented.
Is this what it’s like in your school with the girls all buying the same thing wearing the same thing, looking the same?

It’s because there are people out there that don’t like to be different or an original person. They’re taking the “safe” way out by being like everyone else around them. It’s childish and stupid, but it happens. Just ignore those types of people and don’t hang around them. You are the company you keep.

That’s exactly how it is in my school. But it’s just the trend. This is how high school is, and hopefully, when they get older, they’ll realize that all of that money they’ve spent on $300 boots could have contributed to something more important.
Another trend I see are the furry boots. They wear them in winter, fine. But I see a lot of them wear them in summer too. This obviously shows that they’d rather dress up and look perfect everyday rather than be comfortable and dress like themselves.
Since these are the preps these days, I guess since this is the new era, they pretend not to be considered stuck up bitches, yet, they know damn well the truth. I’ve also noticed that these are the people who generally don’t do well in school, but rather sit in their seats and text.
I guess they don’t really bother me, it’s just the ignorance these days that is really troubling.
For example, it’s not like the early 90′s, when these preps come up to you and tell you to your face that you’re ugly.
No, these days it’s very well hidden.
They don’t dare discuss things out loud. So I guess it’s what they don’t say that is worst. Basically, they ignore you, and they think that they are better.
I mean, they aren’t like the elitist snobs we see, you know the ones with perfect grades and who hang out in coffee shops-
No, rather ignorant, and indolent toward anyone, except from their own group.
As for the less attractive girl, or in your case the “fat girl”, I know exactly what you’re talking about.
The one who always follows, “them”.
Well, it could be for many reasons. one, I guess maybe this girl is just hanging around because they want people to think that they are being sincere.
Or maybe she just has a really cool personality, and just happened to turn fat.

But anyway, yep, these days, things haven’t changed much, the usual prep, the usual non prep. It’s one or the other.
And it’s life, it’s highschool, you just gotta get through it.
yea thats pretty much what it is. i think personally it sbecause they want the guys do notice them. they also look at the girls ahead of them and think that they should look like them.. we also have a fat girl that follows us along
